Configure Remote Printing for High Availability
In a Loftware Enterprise SP environment using distributed services, you can configure for high availability of distributed services in Loftware Enterprise SP, including devices that are configured for use with a remote site. You can also configure these device services to be able to fail over among Loftware Application Servers so that if one or more servers go offline, a standby server or servers begin running the associated services to minimize any interruption for users.
To configure remote printing for high availability, use the following procedure.
- Configure a Remote Site in Loftware Enterprise SP. For more information, see Configure a Remote Site.
- Install the LPA on the remote computer. For more information, see Install the Loftware Print Agent
- Repeat the steps in Install the Loftware Print Agent to install the LPA on another remote computer, using the same Site Token and Remote Site Name.
- Add the system property so that you can manage Remote Site device services in Loftware Enterprise SP.
- Configure the Remote Site device services for high availability and failover.
