StatusUser Interface: Dashboard

You can use the Status Dashboard in StatusStatus to view device status and queue status summaries, and to navigate to the following pages within StatusStatus:

To return to the Status Dashboard from within StatusStatus, click the icon in the ribbon.

Device Status

The Device Status component displays the number of devices in each status. You can click a status in the chart to view the Devices Summary page filtered to the selected status. For more information, see User Interface: Devices Summary.

Note: The device connection is checked every 150 seconds, therefore it is possible a device may report DOWN or UNKNOWN and still be able to process jobs if the device was previously in a bad state and the status has not yet refreshed. Similarly, it is possible a device may report UP and not be able to process jobs.

Status Description

Up

The device is online and a connection is able to be opened to the device.

Down

A connection failed to be opened for the device. The device is possibly offline.

Unknown

This is the default status for a device until the device is initialized and properly connected for the first time. If the device is properly connected initially, then this status may occur if there is an unexpected error when trying to establish a subsequent connection. In this case the device may need to be power cycled.

Errored

A failure has occurred.

Queue Status

The Queue Status component displays the number of queues in each status. You can click a status in the chart to view the Queues Summary page filtered to the selected status. For more information, see User Interface: Queues.

Status Description

Started

The device is accepting new jobs and sending jobs to the printer.

Stopped

The device is not accepting new jobs and not sending jobs to the printer.

Paused

The device is accepting new jobs but not sending jobs to the printer.
