User Interface: Devices Summary

You can use the Devices Summary page in Status Status to view the status of devices, search for devices with specific characteristics, cancel the job currently running on a device, and send a command to a device.

The Devices Summary page displays a list of devices in Loftware Enterprise SP with status information for each device. You can filter this list.

Tip: You must click Search to initially display the list of devices.

Note: Data displayed in Status Status is not dynamically updated. To update the data, click Search .

Toolbar: Commands

The following commands are available from the toolbar on the Devices Summary page after you have selected a specific device.

Note: A command may be unavailable depending on your permissions, the device permissions, or the device queue status.

Toolbar Icon	Command	Description
	Detailed Status	View details of the status for the selected device and populate the Detailed Status column for the selected device.
	Device Configuration	Open the selected device in Devices . Available only if you have the appropriate permissions.
	View Device Web Page	If supported by the TCP/IP device, open a new browser tab with the device's web interface.
	Cancel Current Job	Cancel the job currently running on the device.
	Download Results	Download the search results for the current search to a comma-delimited text file (CSV). You can view this file in a spreadsheet application such as Microsoft Excel.
Select a Command for the Device		If supported by the device, select a command to run on the device.
	Run Command	Send the selected command to the device to run.
	Search	Display the devices in this Loftware Enterprise SP environment. The list is filtered using any search criteria specified in the toolbar and the filter for each column.

Toolbar: Search Criteria

The following search criteria are available in the toolbar on the Devices Summary page so that you can filter the list of devices displayed. You must click Search to initially display the list or to refresh it.

Property	Description
Device Name	The name of the device including its location. You can enter a partial name.
Status	Whether the device is online or unreachable. Any: The device is displayed regardless of its status. Up: The device is online. Down: The device is unreachable and possibly offline. Unknown: The status of the device is unknown. Errored: A failure has occurred. Initial: The device has been initialized, but communication has not yet occurred.
Family	The family of the device.
Model	The model of the device.

Properties

The following properties of devices can be viewed in the Devices Summary page.

Tip: You must click Search to initially display the list of devices.

Tip: You can click a table header to sort the table by that column. Also, for any table column for which a search box is displayed, you can enter search text to filter the results displayed in the table.

Property	Description
Name	The name of the device including its location.
Status	Whether the device is online or unreachable. Up: The device is online. Down: The device is unreachable and possibly offline. Unknown: The status of the device is unknown. Errored: A failure has occurred. Initial: The device has been initialized, but communication has not yet occurred.
Detailed Status	If supported by the TCP/IP or USB device, the detailed status of the device. Note: A value is displayed for this property only after you have clicked Detailed Status in the toolbar to open the dialog box displaying the on-demand device status. The value displayed may not include all information in the dialog box.
Status Last Updated	The date and time when the device status was most recently updated.
Family	The family of the device.
Model	The model of the device.
Description	The user-defined description of this device.
