Bulk Import Images
You can import multiple images into the Loftware Enterprise™ SP library through the user interface. See Import a New Image for information on importing a single image.
Tip: You can also import images or other objects that were previously exported from Loftware Enterprise SP as import (SER) files. For more information, see Import a Label Template or Other Object.
To bulk import images, use the following procedure.
Important: If you are importing objects that were exported via File > Export from Spectrum 5.0 or earlier versions, see Allow Unsigned Files to be Imported.
- In Label Design
> Bulk Import Images.
- For Destination Folder, click Browse and select a location for the images.
- For Select Images, click Browse and select the image files to import, and then click Open.
- If you are importing SVG files, select a DPI from the Image DPI box.
- Click OK to import the images.
Note: Loftware Enterprise SP supports images that use an RGB color model and one of the following file formats: PNG, GIF, JPG, BMP, SVG, or PCX.
If the images are saved to a version-controlled folder, each image is automatically saved as a published version to ensure that it can be printed by a Data Provider Person or process that enters data into a form or other data entry view for a label that was configured by a Designer. A user acting as a Data Provider requires the DOCUMENT_PRINTER role or equivalent permissions. with the DOCUMENT_PRINTER role. It is not necessary to manually publish the image.
