Manage Multiple Device Services

If you have a large number of devices in Loftware Enterprise SP, you can quickly manage all of your device connections in System  > Device Service Management. You can start, stop, activate, and prioritize multiple device services simultaneously, rather than managing each device service individually in System  > Service Management.

Note: By default, devices configured for use with a remote site are read-only in Loftware Enterprise SP and are managed by the Loftware Print Agent (LPA) or Remote Print Agent (RPA). If you want to manage devices that are configured for use with a remote site instead, see Manage Remote Site Device Services.

To bulk manage device services in Loftware Enterprise SP, do the following:

1. Go to System  > Device Service Management.
2. To filter the list of devices to display only those in a specific folder, click Browse and select the folder.
3. Select the check box for each device service that you want to manage. If you want to manage all device services in the list, select the check box in the column heading.
4. To start the selected device services, click Start.
5. To stop the selected device services, click Stop.
6. To activate the selected device services, do the following:
   1. Click Change Settings.
   2. In the Change Device Settings dialog box, select the check box for the Loftware Application Server for which you want to activate the device services.
   3. Select Activate.
   4. Click OK.
7. To set a priority for the selected device services, do the following:
   1. Click Change Settings.
   2. In the Change Device Settings dialog box, select the check box for the Loftware Application Server for which you want to set a priority.
   3. Enter a number for Priority.
   4. Click OK.
