IntegrationsConfigure an SAP User for Loftware Enterprise SP

Before you configure Loftware Enterprise SP Integration for use with SAP® Applications, you must create the SAP user account in SAP ERP that you plan to use with Loftware Enterprise SP. Loftware Enterprise SP uses the credentials of this SAP user account to connect to the SAP database.

The SAP user must have authorization in SAP ERP for some function modules, function groups, and data dictionary objects. Obtaining developer access assigned by SAP is required for developing RFC modules in SAP ERP, and it provides the rest of the authorizations required to develop and modify an Integration for use with SAP® Applications. The SAP user can be a background user (Communication User), although during development and testing it is recommended that you provide this SAP user account with dialog access for the purpose of debugging.

The following SAP authorizations are necessary for the specific SAP transactions. Additional authorizations for various function groups may also be necessary depending upon how the SAP security profiles are defined in the SAP system.
