Supported Printers

Loftware Enterprise SP supports printers from a variety of manufacturers and offers drivers from three different sources.

  1. Loftware Enterprise SP native drivers: For a list of Loftware Enterprise SP native driver families, see Device Driver Options or in Devices Devices, in the ribbon click Add > Device to open the Device Model dialog box. For supported printer families, select Family Driver as the Family, and then click Model to view the list of supported printer families and languages. For supported models, select a Family, and then click Model to view the list of supported models. The printer models supported may vary with the version of Loftware Enterprise SP.
  2. Loftware NiceLabel drivers: You can configure Loftware Enterprise SP to leverage the native capabilities of any Loftware NiceLabel driver. For more information, see Using a Loftware NiceLabel Driver. For a list of Loftware NiceLabel native drivers, see https://drivers.loftware.com.
  3. Windows drivers: You can obtain Windows drivers from any vendor, but these drivers do not leverage native capabilities of the device.

If your printer is not supported by any of the above sources, you can explore whether a Driver Extension Framework solutionClosed A solution that provides support for a device for which neither the family nor model is displayed in Devices. It typically includes a Generic device, a label template, and any business rules or processes required to run the device. exists that would enable your printer to work with Loftware Enterprise SP. For more information, see Deploying a Driver Extension Framework Solution in the Loftware Enterprise SP User Guide (Help). Alternatively, you may define and create your own device driver that allows sending a print stream or image to the device. This involves writing XML to create the desired print stream. For more information, see Create a Connection for a Generic Device.
