Add Devices for a Remote Site
After a Loftware Enterprise SP administrator has configured a remote site in Loftware Enterprise SP (see Configure a Remote Site) and an administrator of the remote site has installed the Loftware Print Agent (see Install the Loftware Print Agent), a Device Admin A user who creates and configures devices in Loftware. Some Device Admins may have permissions to manage Remote Sites. or a Loftware Enterprise SP administrator must create devices in Loftware Enterprise SP for use with a Remote Site.
- If creating devices in Loftware Enterprise SP for the Remote Site is the responsibility of a Loftware Enterprise SP administrator, then the administrator must obtain from the administrator of the remote computer
A computer outside of your LAN/WAN and on which the Loftware Print Agent is installed. A remote computer has access to devices that are not directly accessible by a Loftware Application Server. details about the printers or spoolers necessary to configure the devices in Loftware Enterprise SP.
- If creating devices in Loftware Enterprise SP is a responsibility of an administrator of the remote computer, then this user must have the permissions necessary to configure device groups in Loftware Enterprise SP and at least Read permission for Remote Sites.
Note: It may take up to 30 minutes for new remote print devices or modifications to existing devices to become available in Loftware Enterprise SP. You can accelerate this process by restarting the Loftware Print Agent.
