Printing Stops When Processing 0KB Files with FIFO Enabled on Scan Folder

Description

Printing stops and there are 0 kb files in the scan path/folder along with valid files. Deleting the 0 kb files restores printing.

Explanation

As of version 10.0 LPS does not process 0 kb files. However, LPS will process other valid files (files with content and extension).

For example, this error message indicates LPS considers this 0 kb file to be locked for writing purposes, but other files can continue to be processed.
Zero Byte Job File detected: C:\Program Files (x86)\Loftware Labeling\WDDrop\0KB.pas. File is considered in progress.

However, with FIFO enabled, LPS considers the same file to be locked for writing purposes and the entire print process is stopped.
[FIFO] Zero Byte Job File detected: C:\Program Files (x86)\Loftware Labeling\WDDrop\0KB.pas. File is considered in progress and will preempt further processing until complete.

Solution

Refrain from sending 0kb files. Send only completed files via FTP or a Move command.
