How do I connect printers in Loftware with Windows Terminal Server?

Solution

Configuring and Printing to Printers when using Windows Terminal Server takes special consideration. Please see the following information and link.

Printer on Local Port of Client

  1. Connect the printer to serial or parallel port on the client.
  2. Create a Generic Text Driver on the client PC .
  3. Create a Generic Text Driver on the Terminal Server and connect it to the shared client driver.
  4. In Loftware, configure your printer to use Print Manager/Spooling.

Printer with an IP Address

  1. Set up the printer with an IP address on your Network
  2. Configure the printer on the Terminal Server client or the console with an IP Address in Loftware Design Mode.
