Eltron Printer Pauses Every 18-30 Labels

Description

After printing approximately 18 to 30 labels on the Eltron printer, the printer pauses and Loftware displays 'Check Printer.' Once the printer is un-paused, the job continues for another 18 to 30 labels and again pauses.

Solution

Check how much memory has been allocated for label formats by completing the following:

1. Select File > Printers or F6 from Design or one of the Print Modules.
2. Select the Eltron printer you are using and choose Options. (Printer Setup in Versions less than 6.1).
3. Set the memory allocation for the label between 5 and 10.

If the memory allocation is higher, the printer is forced to steal memory from the printer's buffer, causing the printer to pause in order to clear the buffer.
