ORA-02289: sequence does not exist message When Saving Filter Chains

Description

While working with Filter Chains in Loftware Connector Java-based software that establishes a high-speed connectivity bridge between UNIX-based enterprise applications and the Loftware Print Server (LPS). for Oracle, the following message appears when the user attempts to save a Filter Chain:

Message

Unable to update FilterChain: Error updating FilterChains: com.loftware.lps.connector.LPSConnectorException: Unable to insert filter chain with ID 0: ORA-02289: sequence does not exist

This prevents the user from saving Filter Chains.

The cause of the problem is that the Oracle user that you used to log into the database does not have the proper privileges in Oracle.

Solution

Connect with a user that has the privileges to update the Oracle database.
