Scan Path Does Not Exist: ActiveX Client Control

Description

When executing an application that uses the Loftware ActiveX Client ControlClosed This provides the functionality to connect to the LPS through a socket connection, similar to Loftware's On-Demand Print Client and Status Client. This allows users to get Job Status information, send files faster, and even send files between different networks., I receive the following error:

Run-time error '-2147458135 (800063a9)': StatusPath 'c:\...\status' does not exist!

Explanation

This error is generated if you have assigned the ActiveX control's DropDirectory property a directory other than the LPS's base scan directory.

Solution

In order for the control to function correctly, the DropDirectory property must be set to the LPS's base directory, as specified on the Directories tab of the LPS Configuration Utility. The base directory must be set up as a scan directory.
