LPS (Formerly WatchDog-NT) Polling On an AS_400 Drive

Is the LPS (or WatchDog-NT) capable of polling an AS/400 drive?

Solution

It is not possible for the the LPS (or Watchdog-NT) service to poll an AS/400 drive. This is due to the fact that Windows-NT services do not have the ability to access Client Access on AS/400 drives. If the LPS is run interactively, it is able to process the file as long as polling is enabled. The polling directory should be on the AS/400 drive and the scan directory must be on an NT drive (not an AS/400 drive).
