Launching Desired Loftware Module When Opening a Label

Is it possible to have my labels open in a Loftware module other than On-Demand Print when I double-click on an *.lwl file?

Solution

To have label files automatically open in a program other than On-Demand Print, follow these steps:

  1. Double-click the "My Computer" icon; select View > Options from the menu bar.
  2. Select the File Types tab and look for LabelClosed A label is a design area on the computer screen where a label format is created or edited. Document in the list of registered file types. Highlight it and click Edit. The Edit File Types dialog opens.
  3. Select Open, click Edit in the section titled Actions. The Action Edit dialog opens.
  4. Enter the command line to the Loftware Module you wish to use when opening label files under "Application used to perform action".

    32 bit OS Example:
    Entering "C:\Program Files\Loftware Labeling\Llmwdn32.exe""%1" causes the label to be loaded into Design on a PC that has the Loftware Label Manager installed to C:\Program Files\Loftware Labeling.

    64 bit OS Example:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Loftware Labeling\....
     
  5. Click OK to save the settings.
