Description
How do I associate a Loftware Label A label is a design area on the computer screen where a label format is created or edited. (lwl) file with On Demand Print, and not Design?
Solution
To have an .LWL file open in On-Demand Print:
In Windows 95/98/NT:
- Open Windows Explorer; Select View\File Options.(or Options)
- Select the "File Types" tab in the dialog box.
- Scroll through the list until you see LWL "Label Document".
- Select it; click Edit.
- Under "Actions", double click on Open listed in bold print.
- In the "Application used to perform action" dialog box, change the executable portion of the string from llmwdn32.exe to llmwod32.exe. Do not change anything else in the string.
- Click OK on all the dialog boxes.
In Windows 2000/XP:
- Open Windows Explorer; Select Tools\Folder Options.
- Select the "File Type" tab in the dialog box.
- Scroll through the list until you see LWL "Label Document" or "Loftware Design".
- Select it; click Change.
- Select On-Demand Print from the list.
- Click OK on all the dialog boxes.
Note: You may use this same technique to associate .lwl files with other Loftware applications such as Range Print, etc.
