Space Surrounding Font - Effects of Leading

Description

When designing labels, open space known as 'leading' which surrounds text fields can prohibit fields from being placed too close to the edge of the label.

Solution

When using text fields in Loftware or any other Windows program, you notice a band of open space surrounding the field. This space, known as 'leading', determines the actual edge of a field. As such, depending on the amount of leading a field has, it may not be possible to place fields in such a way that the actual text reaches the edge of the label.
