Minimum Permissions To Run Loftware Applications

Description

Minimum user permissions required to run Loftware applications.

Solution

Loftware applications requires the following user permissions:

• Read, Write, List Contents, Modify, Read and Execute access to the following:
  • C:\Program Files\Loftware Labeling (or the installation directory you create).
  • C:\Windows
  • C:\Windows\System32
• Full control of the following registry paths:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Loftware, Inc
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Loftware Notification Agent to configure the Loftware Notification Agent.
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LoftwareWebListen to configure the WebListener.
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WatchDogNT to configure the Loftware Print Server.
• The default permissions of the "User" group.

• Client installations require access to C:\Program Files\Loftware Clients - or the equivalent folder if you installed using a language other than English.
