Error M2278 Label is not Range Printable

Problem

When attempting to open a label in Range Print, the following message is encountered.

(M2278) Label

A label is a design area on the computer screen where a label format is created or edited. is not Range Printable. No Database-Key keyboard fields defined.

Explanation

Range Print can only be used for labels containing at least one Database Key field. If there are no Database-Key fields defined on a label, the afore mentioned message is encountered.

Solution

If you truly wish to print the label attempted with Range Print, you must create a Database-Key field on the label that is connected to an outside database source. This Database-Key field can then be used to determine a series of labels to print that contain the defined values for the Database-Key field on the label.

If you do not wish to add a Database-Key field to the label, use On Demand Print 32, or On Demand Print Client if the Loftware Print Server is to be used.
