Error from On Demand Print Client: Error in View->OnDraw()!

Message

After opening a label in On Demand Print Client, an error dialog box appears displaying the message: 

Error in View->OnDraw()!

Explanation

This behavior has been found to occur when a version of On Demand Print Client is installed on a Windows operating system which is not supported by that particular On Demand Print Client version.  For example, if On Demand Print Client version 10.1.1.51 is installed on a computer running the Windows 10 operating system.

Solution

Careful planning must take place when upgrading client and server operating systems. It is not uncommon for client or desktop operating system replacement to outpace server replacement. A supported Loftware Print Server environment requires that the Loftware Print Server version and On Demand Print Client versions match. A situation may arise where a specific version of Loftware Print Server is supported on the server but the matching On Demand Print Client version is not supported on the client system. For example Loftware Print Server version 10.1.1.51 is supported on Windows Server 2008 R2 but On Demand Print Client version 10.1.1.51 is not supported on Windows 10.
