Error Alias Contains Invalid Characters

In the Printer Configuration Grid, I am trying to add a printer alias, and I keep getting the following message:

Explanation

The following characters are not allowed when creating an alias name for a printer:

• , (comma)
• ! (exclamation)
• * (asterisk)
• " (quotation mark)
• ; (semicolon)
• < (less than)
• > (greater than)

Note: Underscore ( _ ) may not be used to start the alias, but may be used after a character in the alias name.
