Error 704 Displaying On Monarch Printer

 I am receiving an 'Error 704' on a Monarch printer LCD Panel.

Explanation

Error 704 means 'The printer did not detect a sense mark within the maximum feed length or is out of supplies' (as stated in the Monarch manual).

Solution

Check to see what type of stock you are using, then check the supply type chosen in Options.In one case of this error, the supply type was set to Marked Stock, when the setting should have been Die Cut Labels.
After changing the setting in Options, the labels should print successfully.

To change the settings in Loftware Design Mode:

1. Press F6 or File > Printers
2. Press Options in the LLM Configuration Utility.
