Requirements for Oracle Applications Integration

Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS (formerly Loftware Oracle Agent) is a component that enables supported Loftware labeling solutions to integrate with Oracle® E-Business Suite (EBS) so that Oracle® Warehouse Management (WMS) applications can receive and process label print requests. Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS can be updated independently of the Loftware labeling solution, ensuring that the labeling solution can have the most up to date integration capabilities available.

An Oracle administrator installs Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS in the Oracle EBS system database and configures it to securely connect with a Loftware labeling solution. An administrator of the Loftware labeling solution can configure an Oracle integration for use with label templates without needing to enter Oracle credentials.

You can configure as many Oracle integrations as your Loftware Enterprise SP (including Loftware Cloud Enterprise SP, Spectrum, and Spectrum Cloud), Loftware Cloud, or Loftware NiceLabel LMS license allows.

Important! Before Oracle integrations can be fully used in Loftware Enterprise SP (including Loftware Cloud Enterprise SP, Spectrum, and Spectrum Cloud), Loftware Cloud, or Loftware NiceLabel LMS, Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS must be installed in the Oracle EBS system database by an Oracle database administrator. For more information, see Getting Started with Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS.

The following are the requirements for Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS when using Loftware Enterprise SP (including Loftware Cloud Enterprise SP, Spectrum, and Spectrum Cloud) to integrate with Oracle EBS.

Oracle EBS Requirements

Integrating this Loftware labeling solution with Oracle applications requires Oracle Database 19c. For detailed Oracle EBS requirements for integration, see Getting Started with Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS.

Loftware Enterprise SP Requirements for Integration

If integrating Loftware Enterprise SP (including Loftware Cloud Enterprise SP, Spectrum, and Spectrum Cloud) with Oracle applications, the following are required.

Note: For each database, Oracle WMS support can be enabled for only one Loftware Enterprise SP Oracle integration.

Note: If you have upgraded Loftware Enterprise SP from a version prior to Loftware Spectrum 5.0, then any existing Oracle integrations will continue to process print requests. However, most of their properties cannot be edited. Print requests from any new Oracle integrations cannot be processed until Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS has been installed in the Oracle EBS system database. For more information, see Getting Started with Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS.

ComponentRequirement

Loftware license

A Loftware Enterprise SP license that includes the following:

  • Loftware Enterprise SP 5.1 or later,
Loftware Cloud Enterprise SP 5.1 or later,
    Loftware Spectrum 5.0, or
    Loftware Spectrum Cloud 5.0
  • Oracle Integration

Loftware Enterprise SP Oracle integration

In Loftware Enterprise SP, an Oracle integration must be created and configured. This Oracle integration can be created before or after Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS is installed, but the name is required when configuring Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS.

Loftware Enterprise SP user

A Loftware Enterprise SP user that will send print jobs from Oracle to the Oracle integration in Loftware Enterprise SP.

This user can be created before or after Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS is installed, but the username is required when configuring Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS.

For information about installing and configuring Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS, see Getting Started with Loftware Integration - Oracle EBS.
