Devices Media Options for Eltron Devices

If the Family selected is Family Driver or Family Driver, and the Model selected is EPL2Closed Eltron Printer Language, a printer language from Eltron then the Media tab displays the following options. Some options may not be relevant to some device models.

Option Description Values

Stock Type

The thermal transferClosed A printing method that uses ribbon and non-heat sensitive media to print. The print head is activated as the media moves underneath, heating the ribbon material and melting it onto the label. To increase the quality of the print decrease/increase the speed and increase/decrease the heat as necessary. Also called thermotransfer. or direct thermalClosed A printing method that uses heat sensitive media and no ribbon. The print head is activated as the media moves underneath, heating the media and activating the heat sensitive material in the stock causing darkening of the material. To increase the quality of the print, decrease/increase the speed and increase/decrease the heat as necessary. media and printing method used by the device.

Supply Type

The type of media loaded in the device.

Mark: Stock with a black mark found opposite print side.

Continuous: No gaps, notches, or perforations between labels.

Die Cut: Stock that has gaps between each label.

Do Not Send Option: No value for this option is sent to the device. Select this value if you want to configure the option at your device.

Print Speed (ips)

The speed at which the media travels over the print head during printing.

0 ips to 8 ips

Default: 4 ips

Gap Length (.1mm) The length of the gap, perforation, or separation between each label. 0 to 255

Head Temp

Set the print head temperature.

0 to 15

Default: 8

X Coordinate

This value is measured in dots. This option is used to move the reference point for the X-axis. The default reference point varies depending upon whether the selected print direction is top or bottom.

0 to 9999

Y Coordinate

This value is measured in dots. This option is used to move the reference point for the Y-axis. The default reference point varies depending upon whether the selected print direction is top or bottom.

0 to 9999

Offset Length

This is a setting found on Butterfly Labels. It sets the length between the top edge of the label and the indented portion of the label.

-203 to 203 dots per inch

Send Media Feed Adjust

Whether to send the Media Feed Adjust setting to the device.

Cleared: Do not send the Media Feed Adjust setting to the device.

Selected: Send the Media Feed Adjust setting to the device. (Default)

Media Feed Adjust

The amount of stock to advance after printing, measured in dots.
