Advanced Options for Eltron Devices
If the Family selected is Eltron or Family Driver, and the Model selected is EPL2 Eltron Printer Language, a printer language from Eltron then the Advanced Options tab displays the following options. Some options may not be relevant to some device models.
Advanced Options

Whether to send device options configured in Loftware Enterprise SP to the device, or to use the device options configured on the device. When this check box is cleared, the options that are configured on the device are disabled in Loftware Enterprise SP. |

Eltron printers have the ability to store multiple forms in memory. In order to store multiple forms, a unique name must be generated for each form. This option is used to provide a unique form name. |

Label Taken Sensor |
Whether the device detects if the printed label has been removed before the next one is printed. |
|
Form Backup |
Whether the device retracts the label before printing. |

Whether to reverse the Through Sensor Operation, which interprets a blockage of light as a gap. This option allows the through sensor to be used when printing transparent labels with a black stripe backing. |
|
Dispense Sensor |
When selected, the device presents each label and waits for the label to be removed before continuing. |
|
Dispense Tap |
When selected, the device presents each label and waits for the feed switch to be pressed before printing the next label. This mode is commonly used when printing multiple copies of liner-free labels. |
|
Dump Mode |
When selected, the device is set in diagnostic dump mode. |
|
Send Width |
This option should be selected when labels narrower than the print head are printed. If the label width equals the print head width, clear the check box for this option and the printer automatically centers the printing of the label. |

When Loftware Enterprise SP requests information from a device and does not receive a response, you can specify the maximum number of times that Loftware Enterprise SP should repeat the request. If the maximum number of retry attempts is made without receiving a response, Loftware Enterprise SP reports an error. This option allows you to configure whether the number of retry attempts is managed via a global setting or a value that you customize for this device. Tip: You can view the value of the global setting in System |
Use Global Setting: The maximum number of retry attempts is specified by a global system key. (Default) Custom Value: The Read Retry Attempts option is displayed and overrides the global setting. |
Device Contact Read Wait Time Source |
When Loftware Enterprise SP requests information from a device, you can specify how long Loftware Enterprise SP waits to receive a response from the device before repeating the request or reporting an error. This option allows you to configure whether the wait time is managed via a global setting or a value that you customize for this device. Tip: You can view the value of the global setting in System |
Use Global Setting: The wait time is specified by a global system key. (Default) Custom Value: The Read Wait Time option is displayed and overrides the global setting. |
Print Label As Image |
Whether Loftware Enterprise SP should render the entire label as an image or generate each field individually. If individually, the field is rendered natively by the device if possible. If the device does not support native rendering of the field, then Loftware Enterprise SP generates an image for the field. |
