DevicesMedia Options for Datamax-O'Neil Devices

If the Family selected is Family Driver and the Model selected is DPLClosed Datamax-O'Neil Programming Language, a printer control language., then the Media tab displays the following options. Some options may not be relevant to some device models.

If the Family selected is Datamax-O'Neil and a specific model is selected, then only options appropriate to that model are displayed. For more information about drivers and Loftware Enterprise™ SP, see Managing Devices.

Option Description Values

Supply Type

The type of media loaded in the device.

Mark Stock: Stock with a black mark found opposite print side.

Continuous: No gaps, notches, or perforations between labels.

Die Cut: Stock that has gaps between each label.

Slew Rate (ips) The speed in inches per second (ips) at which the stock is fed when advancing over non-printing areas. This option may affect device throughput.

2.0ips to 16.0ips

Do Not Send Option: No value for this option is sent to the device. Select this value if you want to configure the option at your device.

Default: 8.0ips

Print Speed (ips) The speed in inches per second (ips) at which the stock is fed when printing. The combinations of print speed and head temperature control the print quality of the label.

2.0ips to 12.0ips

Do Not Send Option: No value for this option is sent to the device. Select this value if you want to configure the option at your device.

Default: 8.0ips

Backup Speed (ips) The rate of stock movement in inches per second (ips) during backup positioning for start of print, cutting, or present distance.

2.0ips to 5.0ips

Do Not Send Option: No value for this option is sent to the device. Select this value if you want to configure the option at your device.

Default: 4.0ips

Head Temperature Darkness of the print.
