Loftware Print Agent 4.7.0.96

Summary

This patch addresses an issue in the Loftware Print Agent (LPA) where the session cookies for the Print Management connection were not being cached, causing GetSessionCookies to be called on each reconnect.

Prerequisites

Loftware Spectrum 4.6 must be installed prior to applying this patch.

Installation

To install this patch, perform the following steps.

Note: <SPECTRUM_HOME> represents the folder on the Spectrum Application Serverin which the Spectrum application is installed. For example, in Linux this might be /opt/loftware/spectrum/Spectrum.

1. On your initial Spectrum Application Server, create a temporary folder on the drive where Spectrum is installed.

   Example

   /opt/loftware/spectrum/Spectrum/LPAPatch

2. Download LoftwarePrintAgent.4.7.0.96.zip and save it to the temporary folder.
3. Extract the contents of LoftwarePrintAgent.4.7.0.96.zip to the <SPECTRUM_HOME>/product/webapps/downloads directory and overwrite the existing LoftwarePrintAgent.

   Example

   /opt/loftware/spectrum/Spectrum/product/webapps/downloads

4. If you have installed Spectrum in a distributed services environment, repeat steps 1–3 on each additional Spectrum Application Server.

Post Installation

1. After installing the patch, you can remove any temporary folders you created during the installation process.
2. Sign in to Spectrum and perform the following steps to upgrade your Remote Sites:
   1. Go to Devices and open the Remote Site to upgrade.
   2. Click Upgrade. When the process is complete, the installer automatically closes.
   3. Confirm that the updated Remote Site is connected by clicking the Loftware icon in the system tray.
   4. Repeat steps a-c for each Remote Site.
