Loftware Oracle Agent v1.0 Release Notes
October 2023
Release Summary
The Loftware Oracle Agent is a product-agnostic, independent integration agent that can enable any supported Loftware labeling solution to integrate with Oracle® E-Business Suite (EBS) systems to drive label printing processes. The Loftware Oracle Agent supports Oracle integration in Loftware Spectrum and NiceLabel, replacing the existing Oracle client in Loftware Spectrum and adding Oracle integration support for NiceLabel. Version 1.0 is the first release of the Loftware Oracle Agent, and it supports Loftware Spectrum 5.0.
Targeted Upgrades
Loftware Oracle Agent is not dependent on Loftware labeling solution product releases. You can save a meaningful amount of time and effort by performing a targeted upgrade of your Loftware Oracle Agent, without needing to upgrade your entire Loftware labeling solution. Installing targeted upgrades enables you to benefit from more rapid access to updates and improvements to Oracle integration.
Improved Security
The Loftware Oracle Agent is installed and configured on an Oracle database server by an Oracle administrator. Administrators of the Loftware labeling solution do not require access to Oracle credentials to support it, enabling you to improve the security of the Oracle database by limiting administrative access.
Support for Print Requests from Oracle® Warehouse Management (WMS)
The Loftware Oracle Agent can receive print requests from Oracle WMS (part of the Oracle® E-Business Suite (EBS)) and route these requests to a Loftware labeling solution to be processed and printed. The print request status is reported to the originating Oracle application.
