Overview of Loftware Web Printing

Loftware Web Printing is a server/client based solution primarily designed for barcode label printing. Loftware Web Printing belongs to Control Center. To use Loftware Web Printing, Control Center must be installed and activated.

On the client side, Designer PowerForms is used for label designing and solution building.

On the server side, Control Center and Loftware Web Printing both run as web applications that handle licensing for Loftware Web Printing users and distribute their printing applications. All printing activities are logged in the Control Center database. The administrator can use a standard Internet browser to:

  • Manage the Control Center.

  • Manage licenses.

  • Access solution files in the web-based storage repository (Documents storage).

  • Set up and manage Loftware Web Printing users.

  • Assign solutions to users.

  • View solution printing history.

To summarize, the Loftware Web Printing environment consists of the below listed components. All components are added to the existing Control Center product.

  • Server components: Loftware Web Printing site.

  • Design components: Designer PowerForms.

  • Print client components: installed on each workstation that prints labels.
