Creating and configuring the database users

To complete the installation, your Control Center installer requires two database users:

• EPM_DBADMIN user to install the database. This user also owns the database.

• EPM_USER to get access to the database and to enable the communication with your Control Center.

When creating the EPM users manually, your first option is to use Windows or SQL user account. The instructions below apply to both user types.

• EPM_DBADMIN: Assign this user the following two roles: Connect SQL and Create any database.

  Important

  Define these roles before you start installing the database.

• EPM_USER: Control Center application imitates this user during every interaction with your database. Your user is mapped to this database only.

  Note

  You can rename your EPM_DBADMIN and EPM_USERS.

Additionally, your database users must be configured with Choosing the user account for database creation (the default database name is NiceAN).
