An Error and Warning Messages dialog box appears with the following message when a label is opened with On Demand Print 32 or Range Print 32

Error: UNP_MULTIDBKEY: Multiple Database-key fields accessing the same database.

ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) is Microsoft’s interface for accessing data in database management systems (DBMS’s). It is through this mechanism that the Loftware system is able to access data within your database.

While fields on a label can be connected to a database through ODBC, there cannot be more than one Database-key field pointing to the SAME Data Source Name ( DSN ) and to the SAME Table.

It's likely the label designer was running Design 32 with "Warnings and Errors" turned off ( Design 32 | View | no check mark next to "Warnings and Errors" ) otherwise the label designer would have been warned of this condition when the label was saved with a MULTIKEY error similar to that shown below.

  1. Using Design 32, open the label in question, locate the duplicate Database-key field referencing the same DSN and Table reference as the other Database-Key field and either delete this duplicate field or change this field's Data Source property from Database-Key to a different Data Source ( i.e. Keyboard, Database-Data, etc. )
