Description

A user logs onto the LPS server and launches the Status Client and notices that all of the Windows-defined devices are not displayed, but in Design32, in the Device Configuration they are displayed.

Solution

The lack of device display is due to the LPS Service running under a specific user, but the Windows spooler(s) were added with a different Windows user.  If the user logs onto the LPS Server using the same logon credentials as the LPS Service and adds the Windows printers, the printers will display in the Status Client.

The user can also try changing the LPS Service to run under their credentials by stopping the LPS Service, changing the logon tab to specify their windows login, and then restarting the service.  Once the service is restarted and running, launch the Status Client and the Windows printers should display.
