Description

When I try to connect a field on my label to a specific database file (table), I can select the "Datasource" (DSN), but my file is not displayed under "Table."

Explanation

This problem occurs if the DSN you have set up under the ODBC administrator is not looking for your database file(s) in the correct directory.

Solution

Follow these steps to point your DSN to the proper directory:

  1. Press Start | Programs | Loftware Labeling | Data Sources (ODBC).
  2. Select your datasource from the list under the appropriate tab (User, System, or File); click Configure.
  3. Uncheck 'Use Current Directory' if selected; click Select Directory
  4. Browse to the directory where your database file(s) is located, make sure that the folder is highlighted, click OK.
  5. Click OK until you have exited the Administrator.

Your database file(s) should now be visible in the datasource dialog in Design.
