This articles describes the issue of printing to an Intermec PM43 printer using the IPL family driver, and nothing prints.


When setting up an Intermec PM43 Device within Loftware and using it with the IPL family driver, the jobs will display as printed within the Status client but nothing actually prints.


  • This printer supports multiple language/firmware settings and the language on the printer must match the device/language sent by Loftware. 
  • Verify that IPL is an option to select on the physical printer device. If not, you may need to download the latest firmware (10.07 or later) to allow the IPL option on the printer device. 
If you have issues applying the firmware update, please contact Intermec support.
After updating the printer firmware, the user can setup the new device in Design32 using the IPL family driver.
