Description

When trying to send an XML file from the Oracle Connector to LPS, a connection Timeout error displays:

Solution

From the Database server, try to ping the LPS server using both the IP address or the server name.  If the ping returns a response, then try to telnet from the database server to the lps server on port 2723.  If they are unable to telnet to the server, this means that either the port may not be open or the firewall is enabled.  Have the customer open the port or disable the firewall.

The customer may need to enable (or install) a telnet client. Please consult with your internal IT resources for the best method to enable the telnet client.

Note: Install the telnet client not the telnet server.
