Description

The following error is returned from "cmd.exe" just after running the LWAinstall.bat file.

Message

Ramifications include:

  • Install fails.
  • No LWAinstall.log file is created.


Potential Causes:

  • Multiple Java versions installed.
  • Oracle is installed on the same machine where the path to JAVA_HOME is not being correctly identified.

Solution

Use the set path command prior to running the LWAinstall.bat file to explicitly set the path to the required JRE.

For example:

For 64 Bit Installs:
C:\LWAtmp> set path C:\Program Files\Java\JRE6\bin%PATH%
For 32 Bit Installs: 
C:\LWAtmp> set path C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\JRE6\bin%PATH%
